Dick Drayer is an experienced journalist specializing in reporting from the Caribbean region. Currently serving as Correspondent Caribisch gebied for NOS since April 2012, Drayer also works as a freelance journalist for both The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press since May 2018, and serves as a correspondent for Trouw since March 2017. Previous roles include Correspondent Antillen for NTR from January 2010 to November 2016, and similar positions at Omroep MAX, Novum Nieuws, and NRC Media between 2012 and 2015. Drayer was also the Head of the Caribbean editorial team at Radio Nederland Wereldomroep from September 2010 to July 2012. Drayer holds a Master of Science degree in Anthropology from Utrecht University, completed between 1984 and 1991, as well as a diploma from Comenius College from 1975 to 1983.
