Laurin Thorud

Laurin Thorud is a dedicated school psychologist with experience in providing academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support to students in various educational settings. Currently serving in the Troy City School District since January 2023, Laurin consults with teachers, monitors student progress, and conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for grades K-5. Previously, Laurin supported Pre-K to 2 students in the Lansingburgh Central School District and served as a school psychology intern in the Troy City School District. Earlier professional experience includes a sales associate role at Silverado Jewelry Gallery and a youth mentor position at Siena College. Laurin holds a Master’s degree in School Psychology from the University at Albany and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Siena College.
