John V. Aksak

John V. Aksak leads True Partners Consulting as its northeast regional director. For more than 30 years, clients have sought out his broad-based tax knowledge, keen analytical skills, and genuine concern for their individual needs. His agility with complex tax issues, strong listening skills, and personable nature lead to strong, trusting relationships with those he serves.

His specialties include strategic tax planning, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 review, FASB 109 accounting, international tax, cash repatriation strategies, acquisitions and divestitures, personal tax planning, S-corporations, and tax compliance.

Mr. Aksak develops and implements strategies for effective tax rate planning, cash flow maximization, foreign tax credit utilization, and transfer pricing planning. His work for consumer products, service, and manufacturing companies includes U.S. multinational companies, inbound U.S. groups, and middle-market companies.

He has extensive experience helping clients with Internal Revenue Service examinations, especially transfer pricing examinations. He has also assisted financial institutions and closely held businesses.

Before joining True Partners, he was a tax partner with a regional New York accounting firm. Prior to that, he spent 26 years at Arthur Andersen LLP, including 16 years as a tax partner.

Mr. Aksak earned his Bachelor of Science in economics and Master of Science in accounting from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
