Michelle Merkley

Michelle Merkley has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, with leadership roles in learning and development as well as marketing. At TruMark Financial Credit Union, they served as the VP Learning and Development Director, AVP Learning and Development Manager, and Training Specialist II. Their responsibilities included contract negotiations, coaching, training design and delivery, and performance reviews. Prior to that, they worked at Keystone Federal Credit Union as the Executive Vice President, Director of Marketing, Marketing Coordinator, and Member Service Rep. In these roles, they supervised a team, managed communications, and analyzed member demographics.

Michelle Merkley, CPTD®, CPC, CCUE, CUDE has a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Saint Joseph's University, which was obtained from 2024 to 2025. Michelle also has a Master of Arts degree in Speech Communication and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University. Michelle has several additional certifications, including Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) from iPEC Coaching, Prosci® Taking Charge of Change from Prosci, and various certifications from LinkedIn, Josh Bersin Academy, Crucial Learning, ATD CI - The ATD Certification Institute, The Ken Blanchard Companies, and VitalSmarts. Michelle is also a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) and Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) from the Credit Union National Association and National Credit Union Foundation respectively. Lastly, Michelle obtained the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®) certification from ATD CI - The ATD Certification Institute in October 2020.
