Alexzandra Shade, CUDE has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alexzandra began their career as an intern at the Pretrial Services Agency in Washington, D.C. In 2003, they served as an Organizational Manager for MelNap School-Based Services as part of AmeriCorps.
Following that, Shade worked as an Associate Organizer with the Tallahassee Equality Action Ministry, where they facilitated campaigns to improve public transportation and healthcare access. Alexzandra also recruited new member churches and organized justice ministry workshops.
From 2005 to 2007, Shade served as the Executive Director of Leaders for Equality and Action in Dayton, where they mobilized community members, organized rallies and protests, and worked to address broader issues of justice.
Shade then transitioned to the non-profit sector, serving as the Chief Partnership Officer for the Foundation for Hospices in Sub-Saharan Africa, supporting organizations in the development and provision of hospice and palliative care in Africa.
Alexzandra continued their non-profit work as the Chief Director of Development for Mentor Foundation USA, where they managed campaigns, partnerships, and day-to-day operations.
Shade then joined the Muscular Dystrophy Association as the National Director of Strategic Alliances, developing and overseeing relationships with strategic partners to drive revenue and enhance the organization's brand image.
In 2015, they became the Executive Director of the NWFCU Foundation at the Northwest Federal Credit Union, where they implemented community outreach strategies and oversaw the Foundation's operations across various segments.
Most recently, Shade has been serving as the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at TruStage, leading the company's CSR programs and initiatives, including philanthropy, employee volunteering, and community relations. Additionally, they manage the TruStage Foundation and builds strategic partnerships within the communities the company serves.
Alexzandra Shade, CUDE, holds a degree in Communications with a focus on Journalism, Legal Studies, and Broadcasting from Beloit College. Alexzandra also earned a Master of Science (MS) degree from The George Washington University. In addition, they pursued Spanish Language Studies at The University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Furthermore, they obtained the CUDE certification from the National Credit Union Foundation in 2021.
