Robert Pederson has a varied work experience spanning over 35 years. Robert began their career in 1985 as a Master Sergeant (technical and administrative advisor) with the USMC and USMCR, where they provided technical and administrative advice for over 140 Marine Military Police and support Marines. In 2006, they became a Mechanic for the City of Minneapolis, where they were responsible for trouble shooting, diagnosing, and providing mechanical and electrical repairs to a fleet of 50 dump trucks, snow plows and construction equipment. Robert also applied preventive maintenance to the fleet. In 2011, Robert opened their own business, Bob's Stump Grinding, where they provided seasonal stump grinding and removal, along with yard waste clean up and small, non-hazardous tree removal. In 2016, they worked as a Research Intern at Parker Hannifin, where they applied a geometry based solution for mounting precision gearboxes to an automated backlash test bench. In 2017, they worked as a Research intern/technician at Xcel Energy, where they applied basic mechanic skills and engineering principles of combustion to a bio-mass gasification research project. In 2018, they started working at MinnPar LLC, where they held multiple roles, including Parts Research Specialist, Product Development Manager, Technical Sales Support Engineer, and Technical Sales Engineer. In 2020, Robert became Maintenance Director at Chandler Place. Most recently, in 2022, they started working as a Quality/Design Engineer at Trusted Semiconductor Solutions.
Robert Pederson attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2016 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Integrated Engineering. Robert also attended Normandale Community College from 2012 to 2015 and obtained an Associate of Science - AS in Engineering Foundations. From 1985 to 2011, Robert was a part of the USMC and received Military Education.
