Paulina Covian has worked in various legal and compliance roles since 2005. Paulina began their career as a Pasante at Uhthoff, Gomez Vega & Uhthoff, S.C. in 2005. In 2010, they worked as an Abogado Propiedad Intelectual at Alcázar & Compañia, where they were responsible for translating legal documents from English to Spanish and vice versa, defending and protecting Intellectual Property assets, and negotiating and elaborating contracts for the development of franchises and due protection of Intellectual Property rights. In 2012, they became Gerente Sr. Propiedad Intelectual at Grupo Televisa, where they were responsible for filling and defending trademarks and copyrights, as well as providing direct communication and legal assistance to the different subsidiaries of the company. In 2014, they became a Partner at Osnaya, Covian & Vargas, S.C. In 2015, they worked as a Contract Manager / Marketing Law Manager at PepsiCo. In 2016, they worked as a Project Manager at Lifecom Group. In 2017, they became an Intellectual Property Manager at Grupo Salinas. Finally, in 2022, they became a Sr. Legal and Compliance Manager at Truv, where they are responsible for managing all legal aspects of the company in all the regions in which the company operates, monitoring and tracking laws and regulations, designing, monitoring and maintaining the global privacy program, leading the SOC2 audit and obtaining compliance, drafting and reviewing documents to ensure corporate deals are legally compliant, advising internal clients in high-level tax and employment implications of potential deals, creating internal policies for due compliance of different legislations, developing Intellectual Property strategy to protect the company’s assets, advising about data privacy implications around the world, elaborating and negotiating contracts for customers, providers, employees, collaborators, contractors, SaaS, etc., providing legal translation EN-SP; PT-EN; support and management regarding world expansion (entity creation) in Mexico, US, Europe, and Australia; supporting the HR department; and supporting the IT department.

Paulina Covian completed an ADVANCED ENGLISH - CEFR C1 English Proficiency program at EnglishScore in 2020-2021. From 2004-2009, they attended Universidad Iberoamericana and earned their Licenciatura en Derecho in the field of Derecho. In 2008, they participated in an Intercambio escolar program at The University of British Columbia.
