Daniel Heras Murcia, Ph.D.

Daniel Heras Murcia, Ph.D. has diverse experience in the field of structural engineering. Daniel is currently the VP of Engineering at TS-Nano, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of New Mexico starting in August 2021. Daniel also worked as an Engineering Consultant at AIMT Engineering Service Inc. from July 2021 to July 2022, specializing in structural design and rehabilitation of concrete and steel structures, as well as 3D printed concrete. Daniel completed their Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering, where they were a student from August 2017 to December 2021. Before that, they worked as a Structural Engineer at FSESTRUCTURAS from May 2016 to July 2017, where they were responsible for designing and optimizing steel and concrete structures. Daniel started their career as a Junior Structural Engineer at Ingeniería Zero in July 2015, where they gained experience in the design and calculation of various types of structures.

Daniel Heras Murcia, Ph.D. earned their Doctorado degree from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering, where they attended from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering of Structures, Foundations, and Materials from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, studying from 2014 to 2015. Daniel completed their undergraduate studies at Universidad de Granada, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Civil Construction, from 2010 to 2014.

In addition to their academic degrees, they hold various certifications. Daniel obtained a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from Cambridge University Press in July 2016. Daniel also received training in Structural Design and Calculation with SAP2000 Software from Fundación General Universidad de Granada - Empresa in December 2013. Moreover, they achieved a score of 91 out of 120 in the TOEFL iBT® exam conducted by Educational Testing Service (ETS).
