Mari Ibarra

Mari Ibarra has over 30 years of experience in human resources and payroll roles. Mari started their career as a Payroll Coordinator and later worked as a HR/Payroll/Bookkeeper for Dana Deathrage Designs. Mari then served as a HR Generalist/Full Charge Bookkeeper at Steinberg Neckwear Corp. Mari Ibarra then joined STS Apparel, Corp as an HR Manager, where they were responsible for various HR functions and supervised all payroll activities. After that, they worked as an HR Consultant at TriNet, providing HR support and advice to clients. Prior to that, they were an HR Business Partner at ADP TOTALSOURCE SERVICES, INC., where they acted as a primary consultant and strategic partner to clients from diverse industries. Their most recent role was as an HR Director at TSC Miami. Throughout their career, Mari Ibarra has focused on employee relations, benefits, training and development, recruitment, payroll administration, and compliance.

Mari Ibarra has a diverse education history. In 1973, they attended Colegio Americano de Guatemala where they completed middle and high school. After that, from 1978 to 1979, they attended Commonwealth High School to obtain their high school degree. Following this, Mari enrolled in The University of Akron from 1980 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Clothing and Textiles.

Later, in 2000, Mari attended Barry University to earn a Certificate in PHR Prep/SHRM Learning System. Mari also pursued further education by enrolling in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. As of now, it is indicated that they are in progress towards obtaining a certificate in Human Resources Leadership from Cornell University.

In terms of additional certifications, Mari has obtained various certifications related to human resources. Mari obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in 2000, and went on to attain re-certifications in 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2016. In 2018, they acquired the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM. Most recently, in 2019, Mari earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). These certifications highlight their commitment to continuing education and professional development in the field of human resources.
