Erica Buonomo

Erica Buonomo is an accomplished scientist with a strong background in microbiology and immunology. At TScan Therapeutics since September 2022, Erica holds the position of Principal Scientist in Translational research and previously served as Senior Scientist in the same field. Prior to this role, Erica was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School from September 2017 to September 2022 and worked as a Scientist at Evelo Biosciences for a brief period in early 2017. Earlier experience includes being a Research Scientist at the University of Virginia Health System and an Immunology Ph.D. Student at the University of Virginia from 2011 to 2016. Erica's career began as a Research Assistant at Joslin Diabetes Center and an intern focusing on molecular genetics at Cubist Pharmaceuticals. Erica earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Hampshire.
