Julian Handl has a diverse work experience in the field of web development. Julian started their career in 2013 as a Web Developer, where they worked on the development of custom CMS for the Lower Austrian culture industry and local government. Julian was responsible for frontend and full-stack development using Python, Plone, Django, and Flask.
In 2016, Julian joined d:code:it as a Software Engineer. Here, they contributed to the development of an online banking portal for a major US bank, focusing on design and interactive user experience. Julian also developed an automated UI-testing tool using React and Typescript.
From 2017 to 2018, Julian worked at best it GmbH & Co. KG as a Frontend Developer, where they built e-commerce portals for multinational companies. Julian also conducted training and workshops on React, SPA, and ES6.
In 2018, Julian joined MELTIQ as a Senior Software Engineer, leading a team of up to three people. Julian played a crucial role in building a new service for generating digital twins in the construction industry.
Julian worked at sterngasse BRAND gmbh as a Full Stack Engineer from 2020 to 2021. During this time, they created e-commerce websites using WooCommerce, developed configurators and other widgets with React, and implemented static site generation with Next.js and headless Wordpress.
In 2021, Julian joined Blockpit GmbH as a Senior Frontend Developer. Julian worked on developing important features, such as reports and unrealized gains.
Currently, Julian is working as a Senior Frontend Developer at Tset since February 2023, where they are utilizing their skills in frontend development.
Throughout their career, Julian has gained expertise in various technologies such as React, headless WordPress, TypeScript, and automated UI testing with Puppeteer.
Julian Handl obtained their Ing. degree in Internet and Media-technology from iT-HTL Ybbs/Donau, where they studied from 2006 to 2012. In October 2018, they also obtained the Microsoft 70-480 certification in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 from Microsoft.
