Thomas Binnie

Thomas Binnie is a highly experienced researcher in astrophysics with a current role as a Shui Mu Natural Science Fellow at Tsinghua University since June 2021. Binnie has been a Fellow at the Royal Astronomical Society since January 2017. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Researcher and Postgraduate Researcher at Imperial College London from October 2016 to June 2021, focusing on Bayesian statistical analysis techniques for the SKA radio telescope to explore the early universe. Additionally, Binnie conducted a Masters Research Project at the Oxford Physics Microstructure Detector Facility, testing HV-CMOS sensor technology for particle detection, and served as a Cosmology Research Intern at Oxford Astrophysics. Education includes a Research PhD in Astrostatistics from Imperial College London and a Master of Physics in Particle Astrophysics from Oxford University.
