Charles "Chip" Camp has a diverse range of work experience in various leadership and management roles.
Starting in 1999, Camp served as the Chief of the Operational Intelligence School at the US Coast Guard Training Center. Charles “Chip” was responsible for the leadership and management of four intelligence courses, developed curriculum and training materials, and increased student capacity by 370% after the 9/11 attacks.
From 2003 to 2007, Camp worked as the Chief of the Analysis and Production Branch at the US Coast Guard Atlantic Area. Charles “Chip” managed the analysis, production, and dissemination of intelligence products, briefed the Atlantic Area Commander, and was an expert in maritime smuggling.
Camp then became the Chief of the Intelligence Training Branch at the US Coast Guard Training Center from 2007 to 2010. Charles “Chip” played a crucial role in establishing the first Intelligence Specialist "A" School, contributing to the professionalization of the US Coast Guard's intelligence workforce.
In 2010, Camp transitioned to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as the Military Assistant to the Principle Deputy Director and Deputy Director for Intelligence Integration. Charles “Chip” collaborated with the Intelligence Community to provide high-quality intelligence to the President and senior staff.
From 2011 to 2014, Camp served as the Commanding Officer of the US Coast Guard Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Atlantic. Charles “Chip” led a 105-person Intelligence Fusion Center, provided real-time intelligence to operational forces, and developed innovative tools for decision-making.
Camp then joined the US Coast Guard Atlantic Area as the Chief of the Intelligence Division from 2014 to 2018. Charles “Chip” was the senior intelligence officer, managed intelligence activities in the region, and advised the Atlantic Area Commander on resource deployment.
In 2018, Camp joined Applied Training Solutions as the Chief of Staff. Charles “Chip” directed administrative and support functions, managed security and quality control processes, and maintained ISO 9001 certification.
Following this, Camp held various roles at BayFirst Solutions LLC as a Program Manager and Lead Analyst from 2020 to 2021, and at C.Camp Consulting as the Founder from 2020 to the present.
Currently, Camp is employed as a Strategic Project Manager at Total Systems Technologies Corporation.
Charles "Chip" Camp attended the National Intelligence University (formerly the Joint Military Intelligence College) from 1995 to 1996, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Strategic Intelligence. Prior to this, they attended the US Coast Guard Academy, although the specific years of their enrollment are not provided. At the academy, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government.
