Barbara Starr

Barbara Starr is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in arms control and international security. Currently serving as a Career Management Consultant at Tsymmetry, Inc since June 2019, Barbara develops workforce strategies for the Department of State Bureaus under the Office of the Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security. Prior to this role, Barbara worked as a Consultant at the US Department of State from September 2012 to September 2018, focusing on outreach to emerging professionals in arms control and national security. Barbara’s earlier experience includes serving as Executive Assistant to the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security and as Executive Secretary and Senior Advisor for Internal Affairs at the United States Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. Barbara holds a BA in Psychology and Social Work from Miami University and has an educational background from Marietta College.
