Delbert Cross has extensive work experience in various roles within the software engineering field. Delbert began their career as an Electronic Engineer, working for a company from January 1991 to November 1993. Afterwards, they transitioned to becoming an IBM ATM Systems Engineer from November 1993 to March 1997. Delbert then worked as an ATM Device Driver Engineer, specializing in developing drivers that met CEN committee's specifications. From May 2003 to February 2006, Delbert served as a Build and Release Engineer, where they played a key role in standardizing software builds for ATM installations, leading to increased efficiency and reliability. Delbert also worked as a Software Configuration Management (SCM) Administrator, contributing to the standardization of software development and testing processes on a global scale. Delbert then served as an Engineering Operations Organization (EOO) SCM Specialist, tasked with standardizing project management, processes, and tools worldwide. Most recently, they have been employed as a Principal Software/Firmware Engineer, responsible for setting up development processes and coding standards according to industry best practices, as well as developing communication gateways and controllers that adhere to industrial communication standards.
