William Coker is an experienced mental health professional and first responder with a diverse background. Currently serving as a Mental Health Associate at Fir Counseling since December 2023 and as a Registered Associate in Marriage, Couples, Family, and Individual Therapy for 1st Responder Families since October 2021, William brings substantial expertise to therapeutic practices. William's longstanding commitment to public service includes a role as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue since February 1999 and a provisional appointment to the rank of Lieutenant. In addition, William served as a Peer Support Counselor from February 2002 to February 2023, providing vital support to fellow responders. Academic achievements include a Master's degree in Behavioral Health Marriage, Family, and Couples Therapy from George Fox University, along with an Associate of Science in Emergency Medical Technology from Oregon Health & Science University and a BA in Communication from Metropolitan State University of Denver. William is also a retired US Army Captain, having served in the Army National Guard from September 2002 to December 2015.
