Miles Ott

Miles Ott has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and statistical analysis. Miles is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Tubi since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Twitter from April 2022 to November 2022. Miles also served as a Senior Data Scientist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from June 2021 to March 2022.

Before transitioning to industry roles, Miles Ott had an academic career. Miles held the position of Associate Professor of Statistical & Data Sciences at Smith College from March 2021 to June 2021 and Assistant Professor of Statistical & Data Sciences from June 2017 to March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Augsburg College from June 2014 to May 2017 and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Carleton College from September 2013 to June 2014.

Miles Ott's educational background includes being a Doctoral Candidate in Biostatistics at Brown University from September 2009 to August 2013 and a Masters Student in Biostatistics at Harvard School of Public Health from September 2007 to May 2009 where they also worked as a Teaching Assistant.

In 2005 to 2007, Ott pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Ott obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Smith College.

Outside of formal education, Ott has also acquired certifications in Natural Language Processing. These include "Natural Language Processing with Classification and Vector Spaces" and "Natural Language Processing with Probabilistic Models," both obtained in December 2022 from the online platform Coursera.
