Dr. Jimmeka Anderson

Dr. Jimmeka Anderson is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tufts University since September 2023 and serves as an Adjunct Professor at both Loyola University Maryland and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Additionally, Dr. Anderson has held the position of Program Fellow at New America and Executive Director at Black Girls Film Camp, Inc. since January 2021. Previously, Dr. Anderson was a Project Manager at the National Association for Media Literacy Education and Founder/Executive Director of I AM not the MEdia, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Anderson's academic background includes a PhD in Urban Education and Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Master's degrees in Educational/Instructional Media Design and Online Learning and Development from Appalachian State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
