Tamar Kanarian

Tamar Kanarian serves as the Director of the Office of Special Events within University Advancement at Tufts University since September 2010, overseeing donor recognition and event cultivation efforts to enhance philanthropic engagement. With a progressive career at the same institution, Tamar has held multiple roles, including Associate Director, Assistant Director, Event Coordinator, and Events Assistant in the Office of Special Events. In addition, Tamar co-chaired the 2012 Armenian Youth Federation Olympic Games, contributing to the organization’s premier athletic and fundraising event. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Administrative Affairs, Alumni Relations, and Event Coordinator for the Armenian Youth Federation's Eastern Region from 2003 to 2009, and as an Account Executive at Racepoint Group from 2006 to 2008, where strategic PR initiatives were developed for various high-profile clients. Tamar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Design and Corporate Communication from Bentley University.
