Stacey Plaisance

Stacey Plaisance is an experienced media professional currently serving as the Manager of Media Relations at Tulane University since July 2023. Previously, Plaisance worked with the Associated Press (AP) from April 1999 to January 2022, where significant roles included being the first dedicated video journalist based in New Orleans and a video journalist and print news reporter covering breaking news and arts in Louisiana and Mississippi. Plaisance's extensive background in journalism began with positions at The Advocate and Southeastern Louisiana University, along with freelance work for The Times-Picayune. Plaisance holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communications from Southeastern Louisiana University, completed in 1998.
