Ali Asaria

Ali Asaria is the President & CEO at Tulip, a position they have held since November 2015. Prior to that, they served on the Board of Directors at Communitech from January 2009 to November 2015. Ali also founded and served as the CEO of Well.ca from April 2008 to March 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Manager (UI) at Microsoft from September 2005 to January 2006. Ali Asaria began their career as a Software Developer at Research In Motion in January 2001, where they worked until January 2006. During their free time, they wrote the most popular game for Blackberry – BrickBreaker. Ali also worked on the hardware team that implemented the first reduced-key keyboards and cameras on Blackberries and received their first patent while still a student.

Ali Asaria has a field in computer engineering from the University of Waterloo.
