Sai An

Sai An has a wealth of experience in the field of biotechnology. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Scientist at Tune Therapeutics. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist at OncoTrap Inc. from 2018-2022, where they developed four lipid nanoparticle mRNA delivery drugs for cancer diseases. They also transcribed microgram level of protein-encoding mRNA in vitro with MEGAscript Kit and purified with MEGAclear Kit. From 2016-2018, Sai An was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During this time, they successfully inhibited the triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) lymphatic metastasis with non-viral gene delivery nanoparticles. They also extracted plasmid DNA from E coli and developed non-viral gene delivery nanoparticles, measuring the nanoparticle features by DLS Zetasizer and transmission electron microscopy.

Sai An completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pharmaceutics from Fudan University in 2016. From 2012 to 2013, Sai An was a Visiting Student at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, studying Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. Sai An obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2011.
