Magdolna Djurec has a diverse work experience in various research and technical roles. Magdolna started their career as an R&D Trainee at Sika in 2008. Magdolna then worked as a Master Student and Research Intern at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics from 2009 to 2010. In 2010, they became a Research Intern at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) for a year.
Magdolna then joined the CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre in 2011 as a PhD student in the Experimental Oncology Group. Magdolna'sresearch focused on characterizing the fibrotic tumor microenvironment of pancreatic cancer using genetically engineered mouse models. Magdolna completed their PhD in 2018.
Afterward, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at IRB Barcelona from 2018 to 2020. Magdolna'srole involved conducting further research in the field of oncology.
Currently, Magdolna is working as a Project Manager at Turbine starting from 2020.
Magdolna Djurec pursued their education with a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where they studied from 2004 to 2010. Magdolna then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Oncology from Semmelweis University, with a period of study from 2013 to 2018.
In addition to their academic achievements, they also obtained the FELASA Accreditation in animal experimentation from the FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATIONS in April 2013.
