Engin Topaloglu

Engin Topaloglu, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience. Engin currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at TSKB | Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası, where they are responsible for computing the Cost of Equity and Cost of Capital of the bank, establishing a novel Key Performance Indicator (KPI) system, and devising a Financial Performance Measurement and Reporting System. Engin has also held the position of Chief Audit and Risk Officer at the same company, where they positioned the 2nd and 3rd line of defense units in accordance with the Three Lines of Defense Model and updated the reporting structure. Engin has a background in banking and has worked at Türkiye İş Bankası, where they held various managerial roles such as Branch Manager, Manager of the Retail Banking Marketing Division, Manager of the Enterprise Architecture Division, and Group Manager in the Budgeting and Planning Department. Engin has also served as a Board Member at TBCCI and ANADOLU HAYAT EMEKLİLİK, as well as holding positions on the board of İş Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş., İŞNET Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., İş Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş., and İş Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş.

Engin Topaloglu, PhD has an extensive education history. In 1989, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University. In 1993, they pursued further education at Bilkent University and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering. Following this, from 2005 to 2010, they attended Kadir Has University where they attained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Finance and Banking. In 2015, Engin took part in an Executive Education program at Boğaziçi University focusing on Marketing Academy. Recently, in 2020, they participated in another Executive Education program, this time at the University of Cambridge, focusing on Business Analytics. In addition to their academic qualifications, Engin has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Certified Management Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), FRM Certificate Holder, and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
