Keith Decker

Keith Decker has over 25 years of experience in engineering and management. Keith began their career in 1993 as an Electrical Engineer at MOXTEK, where they developed low noise junction field effect transistors for high performance Si(Li) x-ray detectors and silicon drift detectors for x-ray fluorescence systems. Keith also designed preamplifiers for PIN diode x-ray fluorescence detectors. Keith was then promoted to Senior Electrical Engineer, where they designed and manufactured hybrid low noise x-ray detectors for analytical chemistry, as well as manufacturing equipment for high vacuum encapsulation. Keith then moved into management roles, first as a Technology Manager, where they developed requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedulers for development technology projects, overseeing all phases of project from conception to completion, and managing a team of technicians and engineers. Keith then became a Product Manager, managing the entire x-ray detector product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, and analyzing potential partner relationships for the product. Keith then moved to Advanced Research and Development Manager, where they selected the most appropriate research methodology and techniques, designed qualitative and quantitative research plans for products in all stages of the Product Life Cycle, and identified technologies for future product development. In 2014, they moved to MicroRay, LLC as a Principal Engineer, where they managed all phases of technical projects, oversaw the product conception, design and initial product specifications, and managed scheduling, estimating and securing materials. Keith is currently a Principal Engineer at Turner Imaging Systems, where they oversee the research, development, and design of engineering projects, and is an expert and leader with an advanced understanding of engineering to manage projects and guide team members.

Keith Decker attended Brigham Young University from 1987 to 1993 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
