Janie Galarza

Janie Galarza has extensive experience in social work, currently serving as the Latino Program Coordinator and Latino Outreach Worker at Turning Point since 1994. In these roles, Janie Galarza focuses on empowering Latina battered women by providing individual counseling and facilitating support groups to help rebuild self-esteem. Janie Galarza holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Brescia University (2013-2017) and has studied child development at Southwest Texas Junior College (1981-1984). Additionally, Janie Galarza is pursuing an Associate of Arts in General Education with a concentration in social work at McHenry County College.
