Roya Shakoori

With both a commercial and corporate background, Roya Shakoori brings more than 15 years of law firm and in-house legal experience to Turntide. While attending law school during the dot.com bust, she quickly discovered an interest in restructuring that resulted in a successful career as a partner working with high net worth individuals and companies. Before joining Turntide, Roya also worked at a company that manufactured and sold electric vehicle charging stations, along with cloud/SaaS subscriptions and other professional services. Here, she led all in-house legal efforts to take the company public through a successful SPAC transaction and developed a renewed interest in sustainability-driven startups that serve the public good. Naturally, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to support Turntide’s efforts to develop energy-efficient solutions. In her free time, Roya enjoys family hikes, hosting parties, watching football and basketball, challenging puzzles, and Bananagram.
