Tianning Xu, PhD, CEng, MIET has over 20 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Most recently, they served as the VP of Engineering, Transport at Turntide Technologies, where they led a team of over 120 engineers and was responsible for developing next-generation electrification products. Prior to that, they were the Director of Engineering – UK at ChargePoint, where they expanded the engineering team in Europe and played a key role in the company's EV charger development. Additionally, they have worked as an Engineer at Delta Electronics and as a Technical Consultant at BLUE PLANET BUILDINGS (UK) LIMITED. Tianning Xu, PhD, CEng, MIET obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2002. Tianning then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Power Electronics & Drives at the University of Nottingham from 2004 to 2005. Continuing their education at the University of Nottingham, Tianning Xu completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from 2005 to 2009. In August 2014, they obtained the Chartered Engineer certification from the Engineering Council. Additionally, Tianning Xu became a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in October 2009 and was granted the MIET accreditation.
