Shou Wong has a long history of experience in the field of science and innovation. Shou began their career in 1994 as a Senior Scientist in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Cytotherapeutics Inc. In 1998, they moved to Modex Therapeutics SA as Manager of Molecular Biology. Shou then joined Merck/EMD Millipore in 2000 as Director of Technology Scouting. In 2012, Shou Wong moved to Life Technologies as Associate Director of Business Development in Synthetic Biology. In 2014, they became Technology Platform Leader at The Dow Chemical Company. In 2016, they were appointed Senior Director of ATCC Microbiology Systems at ATCC. In 2017, they became Global Business Development at MilliporeSigma. In 2019, they joined Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany as Silicon Valley Innovation Hub. Most recently, in 2021, Shou Wong was appointed Chief Innovation Officer and VP External Innovation at TurtleTree.
Shou Wong has a diverse educational background. Shou has a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Washington University Medical School in Molecular Neurobiology & Gene Therapy, a Ph.D. from Georgia State University in Molecular Biology & Microbiology, and a Visiting Fellowship from Harvard Medical School in Synthetic Biology. Additionally, Shou Wong has obtained seven certifications from LinkedIn in 2020, including Leading like a Futurist, Time Management: Working from Home, Balancing Innovation and Risk, Executive Presence on Video Conference Calls, Investment Evaluation, Jeff Dyer on Innovation, and Mapping Innovation: A Playbook for Navigating a Disruptive Age (getAbstract Summary).
