Julio Lajara has a diverse work experience in the field of DevOps software engineering. Julio started their career at Capital Region Workforce Development Board Inc as a MIS Specialist Intern, where they updated a large contact database and repaired computers. Julio then interned at Rosebud Development, where they converted database forms to a Visual Basic application and created a slideshow application.
Julio then had internships at Pratt & Whitney, where they automated data analysis using Perl scripts and created a Java applet web interface. Julio also worked on automation tools and used Linux tools to analyze engine test data.
After that, Julio worked at IBM as a Software Engineer Intern, where they simulated HTTP requests and performed testing on computer security auditing tools. At IBM - Industry Solutions, they supported the development of a unified cloud services integration environment and managed the deployment of Chef infrastructure.
Julio joined Sungard Availability Services as a Senior DevOps Software Engineer, where they supported a Dockerized microservices portal and developed monitoring systems. Julio also extended the microservice backends and developed Python CLI tools.
Later, Julio worked at Sonatype as a Senior DevOps Systems Engineer, where they performed RPM packaging and used Ansible and Terraform for automation tasks.
Most recently, Julio worked at TVision as a Senior DevOps Software Engineer. Julio provided support for internal teams with DevOps tasks, application deployments, and server management. Julio also contributed to stabilizing the IOT device fleet, implemented Docker buildkit standards, and integrated IOT device setup functionality.
Julio Lajara pursued their undergraduate education from 2004 to 2009 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In June 2016, they also achieved certification as a Red Hat Certified System Administrator from Red Hat.
