Jane Purcell is an accomplished audio describer, scriptwriter, and lecturer with extensive experience in creative writing and media. Since October 2016, Jane has served as an Audio Describer at ITV, while also working with TVT and as a Freelance Writer for NewsThump. Jane's notable roles include writing for BBC Radio 4, where contributions include original plays and adaptations such as "The Eggy Doylers" and "The Indian in the Cupboard." Additionally, Jane's academic career includes lecturing in advanced creative writing at the Open University and the University of Hertfordshire, where innovative courses like Young Adult Fiction and Radio Writing were developed.
