Beth LaPensée

Beth LaPensée has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Beth started their career as a Freelance Writer, Designer, and Researcher in 2006, and has been involved in various projects. In 2009, they became the Editor-in-Chief for the International Game Developers Association until 2014. In 2006, they also worked for CMP Game Group as an Editor for GameCareerGuide.com and Gamasutra.com Education. In 2016, they joined Michigan State University as an Associate Professor of Media & Information and Writing, Rhetoric & American Cultures. Beth'smost recent role is as a Narrative Director at Twin Suns Corp, starting in 2021.

Beth LaPensée completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies at Portland State University from 1999 to 2004. Beth then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Writing at Portland State University from 2004 to 2005. For their further education, they attended Simon Fraser University and earned a PhD in Interactive Arts & Technology from 2006 to 2014.
