Software Engineer at Twipe

Thomas Vranken has a diverse work experience that spans different industries and roles. Thomas started their career as a cleaner at WZC Damiaan in 2014 and 2015. In 2018, they worked as a student at KU Leuven, where they assisted in uploading content for a MOOC. The following year, they interned at UZ Leuven, developing a cross-platform mobile application for medical staff.

In 2021, Thomas joined Twipe as a Junior Software Engineer, where they later moved on to a role as a Student Software Engineer and Test Engineer. Thomas also had a summer internship at Twipe. In the same year, they also worked as a Python Developer at KU Leuven, supporting the development of an application for cataloging archaeological finds.

In 2017, Thomas started teaching at CodeFever as a Teaching Assistant and later became a Teacher. Additionally, they worked as a Camp Coordinator for CodeFever, overseeing the organization of a summer camp.

Most recently, Thomas has been a Guest Lecturer at UC Leuven-Limburg, starting in 2023.

Thomas Vranken's education history begins in 2008 when they attended Don Bosco Haacht, where they focused on the study of Greek and Mathematics. Thomas completed their studies there in 2014. In the same year, Thomas enrolled in KU Leuven, pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Technology of living systems, which they successfully completed in 2018.

Continuing their education at KU Leuven, Thomas pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from 2017 to 2021. Following that, they undertook a Master of Education degree in Science and Technology from 2020 to 2022, both at KU Leuven as well.

Additionally, Thomas briefly attempted the "Toelatingsexamen arts" at KU Leuven in 2014, although the field of study for this exam is not specified.
