Abigail Polkinghorn

Abigail Polkinghorn is a seasoned recruitment professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as a Senior Recruiter at Twist Bioscience since May 2022, Polkinghorn has also held roles as a Senior Recruiter at Moderna and a Recruiter at bluebird bio, where responsibilities included leading the LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, bPROUD. In addition to recruitment expertise, Polkinghorn has contributed to the biotech community as a Board Member of OUTbio, the industry's largest LGBTQ professionals group, dedicated to empowering the LGBTQ community and its allies. Previously, Polkinghorn worked as an Education Recruiter at Boston Children's Hospital and gained valuable skills as an International Operations Coordinator at CIEE. Polkinghorn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Simmons University, awarded in 2013.
