Brian Bumlak Kim

Brian Bumlak Kim is a Bioinformatics Software Engineer at Twist Bioscience since January 2023, with previous experience as a Software Engineer at Deloitte from November 2021 to January 2023, and at Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) from October 2020 to October 2021. At PGDx, Brian developed and maintained clinical reports and reporting software for liquid and tissue biopsy assays, utilizing ETL processes with JSON files and Python, and contributed to the development of the PGDx elio platform using Angular Framework and Django Framework for backend API design. Brian holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2021-2025), a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University (2017-2019), and a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from Indiana University Bloomington (2015-2017).
