Rodney R. Agayan

Rodney R. Agayan is an experienced engineer and physicist with a diverse background in applied physics and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer at Twist Bioscience since August 2013, Rodney has held multiple roles including Staff Process Engineer and Hardware Engineer. Prior to this, positions included Optical Physicist, Biomedical Engineer, and CTO at Image Reading Center, Inc., as well as Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Columbia University. Rodney's academic prowess is underscored by a Ph.D. in Applied Physics, along with multiple master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics, all obtained from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's degree in Applied & Engineering Physics from Cornell University. Research expertise encompasses the development of synthetic tissues, optical and magnetic sensor applications, and advanced optical tweezing setups.
