James Edwards has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to present. James started their career as a self-employed Web Developer from 2001 to 2011. In 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer on an industrial placement at Culham Centre for Fusion Energy, where they were responsible for developing data analysis software for the JET project.
In 2012, James joined the UK Atomic Energy Authority and held several roles. James worked as a Graduate Software Engineer from September 2012 to September 2014, where they represented the graduate program administrators. James then transitioned to a Control Software Engineer role from September 2014 to August 2017. After that, from August 2017 to January 2020, they worked as a Research Software Engineer. Later, they became an Experimental Data Team Leader from January 2020 to February 2022, leading a team focused on developing and operating critical data engineering infrastructure and software for fusion experiments.
Currently, James is working as a Senior Software Engineer at a company called Two since February 2022.
James Edwards attended Castle Rushen High School from 2001 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science with Mathematics at the University of Bath, graduating in 2012.
