Paulo Nunes has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Paulo started their career as a Trainee/Intern at the European Space Agency, where they worked on a prototype for thermal diagnostics of the Rosetta Spacecraft. Paulo then joined Critical Software as a Software Engineer before moving to the European Southern Observatory as a Scientific Software Developer. In this role, Paulo was responsible for the design and coding of applications for the observatory's dataflow, as well as customer interface and delegation of tasks.

Paulo then transitioned to Swiss Re, where they held multiple roles. Paulo served as the Analytics and Cognitive Solutions Lead, leading a team that delivered solutions in search, cognitive computing, text analytics, and content management. Paulo also co-founded a Cognitive Computing Center of Competence at the company. Additionally, Paulo took on the role of Software Project Manager and Solution Architect, managing a software project developed both on-site and off-shore.

After Swiss Re, Paulo worked at Payger as an Interim CTO and Product Manager. In this role, they oversaw the conception and development of the Payger Wallet, a cryptocurrency management tool for merchants. Paulo managed the product development team and was responsible for the technical and cloud architecture of the product.

Paulo later joined Hiringcue.com as an Interim CTO before becoming an Advisor at PIPECODES. Currently, they serve as the CEO at Two Impulse, where they focus on driving business impact with AI.

Paulo Nunes received their undergraduate education from the University of Évora from 1997 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to pursue further education at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they obtained an Executive MBA degree.
