Vivian Ho, MBA has over 8 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. Vivian began their career in 2011 as an Assistant Controller at The Breslin/John Dory/Lobby Bar/Liberty Hall at the Ace Hotel. In this role, they managed a $19M F&B operation as the Interim Controller during Tax filing and Audit season, coordinated all key financial planning processes, and maintained financial stability by establishing financial frameworks, monitoring and improving financial performance, preparing and analyzing financial reports. Vivian also consolidated monthly journal entries, executed the month end closings, and supervised and maintained company accounting systems including AP and AR.
In 2013, Vivian moved to Young & Rubicam Group as a Financial Reporting Specialist. In this role, they facilitated comprehensive automated excel files to advance the reviewing process of financials for North America region, oversaw multiple regional offices’ month end deliverables, managed timely and accurate financial reporting for the North American region units, forecasted and analyzed revenue, expenses and profitability by office and totals for each respective region, with comparisons to the latest budgets, forecast and pro forma, and delivered control totals to the Worldwide HQ for revenue, operating profit, PBIT, total incentives, and net inter-company interest for the North America region.
Vivian then joined Sullivan in 2015 as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, they worked directly with business leaders and other senior management to gather information required to produce budgets, prepared management reports, identified and communicated areas of concern and suggested improvements to account staff and management, and prepared accurate forecasts that reduce uncertainty and provide the basis for achieving revenue and profitability projections.
In 2016, Vivian moved to Canvas Worldwide as an Associate Director Finance and then Manager Financial Planning and Analysis. In this role, they embraced month-end close team lead role and, through streamlining and excellent planning, significantly reduced time spent during close, built strong, collaborative relationships with Sales, Brand, Operations, Accounting and all other groups, oversaw the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, monitored and projected cash flow, capital expenditure and other company-wide uses of capital, implemented ERP system, expense report portal and payroll for the startup, and was the primary contact for external CPA firms, tax accountants and auditors including IRS, state, sales tax, DOL for five different states.
Most recently, Vivian joined TWO NIL as Senior Director Finance and Director of Finance. In this role, they played a key role in investor relations, board meetings, and fundraising efforts, partnered with the CEO to prepare key business insights, drove the performance, strategic planning, and growth orientation for the business through leadership in corporate and operational financial functions, developed robust short and long-term financial plans and advised senior leadership and the Board of Directors on key business decisions, drove translation of the company's strategic plan into an annual budget and ensured the annual plan was supported by detailed action plans, owned all aspects of the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow projections, oversaw Finance & Accounting team, built on and improved the existing financial processes, controls, and internal policies, and developed, led, and maintained relationships with external auditors, insurance providers, banks, and other vendors and key stakeholders.
Vivian Ho has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Jack Welch Management Institute (2018-2021), a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and Investment from Baruch College, and an Associate's degree in Marketing from CUNY New York City College of Technology.
