Solutions Architect at Tyk

Jia Wu has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. In 2015, they worked as a Data Analyst & Software Developer at Western University, where they developed data processing pipelines for genomic data, improved the runtime performance of existing pipelines, and applied statistical analysis to high-throughput sequencing datasets. In 2016, they worked as a Scientific Researcher and Teacher's Assistant at the University of Waterloo, where they were the project manager responsible for overseeing the software development efforts of the lab, provided DevOps for lab servers, and consulted with students to assist with their education across multiple computer science disciplines. In 2017, they worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence and Senior Developer at Eighty8 Ventures. In 2019, they co-founded a startup, Auspre, where they leveraged AI to perform speech to text and speaker diarization operations, secured funding from accelerators, and led the data efforts of the company. Currently, they are a Solutions Architect at Tyk, where they provide technical guidance and consultation for B2B customers, conducts technical demos, and produces content across different media to help drive both MQLs and SQLs.

Jia Wu started their education journey in 2008, when they attended Fort Frances High School. In 2011, they completed the Shad Valley Certificate of Completion at Memorial University. Jia then attended Western University from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Honours BMSc Computational Biochemistry and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. In 2016, they obtained their Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. Jia is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Waterloo, where they are studying Computer Science. In 2012, they also obtained an EMR CPR/AED-HCP certification from the Canadian Red Cross - John Beaton.
