Vice President of Sales, Americas at Tyk

Josh Parsons has over 25 years of sales experience in the technology industry. Starting in 1994, they were the President of Hight International, an export management company. In 1998, they joined Infor Corporation as an Account Manager, where they achieved software, hardware, and services quotas and was elected President of new business sales in 1999. In 2001, they moved to Kinaxis as a Senior Account Manager, managing the East sales territory and selling SAAS supply chain solutions. Josh achieved SAAS sales quotas and grew the territory by 50% annually. In 2003, they joined BEA Systems as a Global Account Manager, selling middleware platform and infrastructure products and was in the top 5% of revenue producers. In 2007, they joined Oracle as a Technical Sales Manager, where they managed a global sales team for TimesTen Database and launched an initiative from scratch with a sales, marketing, and technical strategy. Josh then moved to PROS in 2018 as a Regional Vice President of Sales, building a vertical focused sales team and increasing revenue by 25% in FY 2018. In 2019, they joined Couchbase as a Vice President of Sales, managing the East sales region and refining the entire East sales organization. Currently, they are the Vice President of Sales for the Americas at Tyk, where they manage direct sales, technical sales, account management, and sales development teams and created a sales and market strategy for 2021 that increased new business sales by 60%.

Josh Parsons has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Vanderbilt University, which they earned between 1988 and 1992. Josh also has a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Mercer University - Stetson School of Business and Economics.
