Garry Taylor has extensive work experience in mechanical design engineering, spanning over several companies and industries. Garry started their career as a Special Effects Technician at Brightlight Studios, where they designed and manufactured props, sets, costumes, and toy prototypes.
Garry then worked at Dewhurst plc as a Design Engineer and later as a Senior Design Engineer. Here, they were responsible for designing various products.
Garry then moved on to work at Bergstrom Europe as a Project Engineer, followed by DBK Group as a Mechanical Design Engineer. At Sogefi Group, they served as a Project Engineer before joining HARMAN International as a Mechanical Design Engineer. In this role, they designed loudspeakers for OEM automotive customers and also worked on the introduction of new sound synthesis devices for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Garry Taylor has a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Aided Engineering from Coventry University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1993. Garry also has a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BEng. (Hons)) in Mechanical Engineering from Coventry University, which they completed from 1988 to 1992. Prior to that, they attended Mayflower Comprehensive School from 1981 to 1988 and obtained 2 'A' Levels and 9 'O' Levels. Additionally, they have a certification as a Certified Solidworks Associate from Dassault Systèmes, obtained in 2013.
