Diego Cespedes

Diego Cespedes has over 13 years of work experience, primarily in the telecommunications industry. Diego is currently working as a Partner Manager at tyntec since July 2021. Previously, Diego worked at Telefonica Movistar Ecuador for over 13 years, starting as an Analyst in Traffic LDI in January 2008. Diego then progressed to the role of Supervisor of Control LDI in November 2011, where they implemented a process to control quality and detect fraud in long-distance calls. Diego's most recent role at Telefonica Movistar Ecuador was as the Interconnection Chief, starting in November 2014. In this position, they led the commercial and financial processes for the wholesale business, negotiating and managing contracts with national operators for services such as national roaming, interconnection, and international messaging. Diego developed successful strategies to monetize the A2P messaging service and was recognized nationally and internationally for their contribution to the development of a control process for grey routes (fraud bypass).

Diego Cespedes completed their education at two institutions. From 2002 to 2008, they attended the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE, where they earned a degree in Ingeniería, with a focus on Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones. Later, from 2015 to 2016, Diego pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
