Michael joined Tyton Partners as the General Manager (GM), Capital Markets, and Managing Director. He brings nearly 25 years of experience in financial services, including investment banking, corporate banking, investment management, and as a columnist covering the financial sector.
Michael spent over a decade as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. As a Principal, he specialized in raising capital and providing strategic advisory services to CEOs and CFOs in the financial sector, particularly depository institutions, asset managers, and specialty finance companies. Later, he led the FinTech effort there. During his tenure, Michael advised on capital raisings and M&A transactions totaling well over $40 Billion.
Thereafter, Michael founded an emerging manager, sector-specific fund focused exclusively on the U.S. financial sector. Based in Chatham, NJ, the fund was incubated by an established alternative investment manager. He has also been a Senior Columnist at Dow Jones, where he bylined analysis-based opinions and commentary on the U.S. financial sector for Dow Jones’ Investment Banker product. Many of his pieces were picked up by other publications within the Dow Jones family, including The Wall Street Journal.
