Yao Zhai

Yao Zhai has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Currently, Yao Zhai is the VP and Head of U Power US at U POWER since May 2021. Prior to that, Yao Zhai was a member of the Technical Steering Committee at Autoware Foundation starting from November 2020. From January 2019 to September 2021, Yao Zhai co-founded Ziiko Robotics, a company specializing in providing purpose-built robotic platforms.

Yao Zhai also has experience working at Continental, where they held the roles of Global Product Line Manager from September 2015 to November 2017, and Principal Engineer from September 2014 to September 2015. Before Continental, Yao Zhai worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Qualcomm from September 2013 to August 2014. Additionally, Yao Zhai worked at Continental as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2011 to September 2013, at Cummins Inc. as a Software Engineer from January 2010 to September 2010, and at Micronas as a Software Engineer from June 2006 to May 2007.

Yao Zhai completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tongji University between the years 2002 and 2006. Following this, Yao Zhai obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, studying from 2008 to 2010.
