Ryan Knutson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ryan started their career as a CAD Technician at Grunts Drafting Service/James McNeal Architects in 1999, where they worked until 2001. From there, they joined Weatherguard Construction Company as an Office Manager in 2002, and subsequently became a Truss Designer at Scherer Bros. Lumber Co., also in 2002. In 2003, they joined Sharratt Design & Co as a CAD Technology Manager, responsible for construction documents and research and development of new software and technology. From 2006 to 2009, Knutson worked as an Architectural Designer at RSP Architects, where they were involved in producing schematic design packages for Target Corporation. Ryan then joined SuperValu as a Floor Mapping Specialist, where they worked from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they joined Master Technology Group as a CAD/BIM Systems Administrator, specializing in electrical, low voltage, CCTV, and fire design. In 2016, they moved on to work as an Application Engineer at Managed Design until 2018. Currently, Knutson is working at VinZero U.S. CAD as a Senior Support Specialist since 2018. In this role, they provide technical and sales support, training, and implementation of design software for the AEC industry, with a specialization in Autodesk licensing, account management, installation, and error troubleshooting. Overall, Knutson has demonstrated a wide range of skills and experiences in the field of design and technology throughout their career.
Ryan Knutson completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating from Dunwoody College of Technology from the years 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art & Animation from Living Arts College from 1994 to 1996.
In addition to their formal education, Ryan Knutson has obtained several certifications. These include the Zendesk Certified Support Administrator from Zendesk in December 2020, Revit Architecture Certified Professional from Autodesk in November 2018, Autodesk Certified Instructor from Autodesk in January 2018, Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD from Autodesk in January 2018, and Bluebeam Certified Sales Professional from Bluebeam, Inc. in May 2016.
Furthermore, Ryan Knutson has acquired certifications such as Bluebeam Basics from Bluebeam Software, Inc. in March 2015, Autodesk Revit 2015 BIM Management & Collaboration Training from Managed Design in September 2014, Autodesk Revit MEP 2015 Advanced Training from Managed Design in March 2014, Space Planner Certification from JDA Software in March 2013, and Querying & Processing SQL Server Data with SQL Statements from Alto Consulting & Training, Inc. in August 2012.
