Jacob Scher

Jacob Scher currently serves as Deputy Press Secretary and Communications Specialist in the CHIPS Program Office at the U.S. Department of Commerce since July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst in Public Affairs at Forbes Tate Partners from March 2021 to July 2023, and as Deputy Communications Director for Dr. Tom Sherman’s gubernatorial campaign in 2022. Jacob Scher previously held a Public Affairs Intern position at Forbes Tate Partners in 2020 and gained valuable experience as an intern at MEHLMAN CASTAGNETTI ROSEN & THOMAS, INC. in 2019, as well as an intern in Congressman Josh Gottheimer's office in 2018. Early career experiences include lifeguarding and counseling at Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA from 2014 to 2018. Jacob Scher earned a degree from Gettysburg College between 2016 and 2020.
