Mindy Brown

Mindy Brown is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property and patent law. Currently serving as an Attorney at the U.S. Department of Commerce since May 2023, Mindy previously held multiple roles at the USPTO, including Patent Attorney and Supervisory Patent Examiner, contributing to the Office of the Chief Judge and the Office of Patent Quality. Mindy also served as an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School, teaching legal research, writing, and analysis. Mindy's legal career is complemented by internships at the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Energy, as well as previous academic roles at Florida State University, where Mindy earned a J.D. in Intellectual Property from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences.
