Gina Smith, MSN, RN, NE-BC, has extensive experience in nursing leadership and education. Currently serving as Chief Nurse for Behavioral Health at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since April 2015, Gina has also held positions such as Care Manager and Acting Chief of Nursing for Ambulatory & Specialty Care Clinics. In academia, Gina contributes as an Adjunct Professor at North West Florida State College and previously instructed nursing at Isothermal Community College, where additional roles included Nursing Instructor and Nurse Administrator. Gina's clinical experience includes serving as Charge Nurse in Geriatric Psychiatry at St. Luke's Hospital and as an Intake Registered Nurse at a Psychiatric Treatment Center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on nursing education from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
