Portia Tirado

Portia Tirado, CISSP, has extensive work experience in various organizations. Most recently, they served as the Integration & Sustainment Team Lead at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Enterprise Services Branch Head at NATO SOF HQ from November 2020 to January 2023. From March 2019 to November 2020, Portia worked as the Major Incident Manager at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Portia also held key positions at MITSC West, serving as the Deputy Director from March 2016 to March 2019, and as the Operations Officer from November 2014 to March 2016. Portia's earlier experience includes serving as the Deputy Director at USMC Alternate NOSC from October 2012 to November 2014.

Portia Tirado, CISSP, holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Middle School Math from Liberty University (2021-2025). Portia also earned a Master of Human Resource Management degree from Keller Graduate School of Management (2010-2012), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus (2003-2009). In addition to their academic achievements, Portia has obtained several certifications including Certified Expert Incident Manager from Lunarline, Inc (2020), CISSP from ISC2 (2013), Professional Continuity Practitioner Level 1 from FEMA (2013), and ITIL v3 Foundations from AXELOS Global Best Practice (2013).
